This page is dedicated solely to Aanifeira’s statistics.

It has been developed with the intention to show our sponsors, members, fosterers, volunteers and members of the public in general on the progress of Aanifeira over the past few years.

Educational school visits to Aanifeira

  • 35 schools with a total of 1.000 students visited the shelter

International Volunteer Program

  • 122 international volunteers have come to do an internship in the area of veterinary medicine, veterinary nursing, animal care and animal training and comportment

Memberships

  • 2.500 members (Euros 15 annual fee)

Fosterers

  • 145 fosterers (Euros 5 monthly fee), 39 more than in January 2009

Completed Projects

  • August 1996 – Construction of 12 new boxes for 70 dogs with outdoor, sunlit areas; 
  • August 2007 – Landscaping of exercise park, 4 new park areas to exercise different groups of animals at one time;     
  • 2007 – Aanifeira Veterinary Clinic opened exclusively for members
  • July 2011 – Completion of 13 new boxes (Brigitte Bardot Sector) for 37 dogs based on Dogs Trust, U.K., Construction Schemes for drainage and glass windows
