Well known Portuguese celebrity and ‘Lost in the Tribe’ (Perdidos no Tribo) reality show participant, Claudia Jacques recently very kindly accepted our invitation to be the ‘Celebrity Ambassador’ for Aanifeira.
Claudia was born in Porto and graduated in Modern Languages and Literature at the Faculty of Arts of Porto. She was a model, turning to fashion entrepreneurship and a social commentator on one of the main the Portuguese Television stations SIC. She is currently developing work in the areas of public relations, fashion, advertising and television. Author of articles on beauty, health and well-being, she has greatly supported various causes and charitable organizations in Portugal. She also co-authored with Sergio Figueira in writing a book “My Secret.”
To mark the beginning of Aanifeira’s partnership with Claudia, she visited the shelter last Friday February 3rd for a photo session with some of the animals in an effort to show everyone the importance that animals play in our lives together with the respect that they deserve.
In her role as a public figure and Aanifeira’s Celebrity Ambassador, she hopes to draw awareness to the social responsibility in owning an animal. Claudia did just this with her presence at the Aanifeira Charity Ball held last December showing her close support to our cause as a non-profit/no-kill shelter working to save lives of animals off the streets of Portugal as well as providing safe and comfortable surroundings for the resident animals at the shelter.
We would like to thank Claudia for joining us at Aanifeira as our Ambassador and look forward to working with her for the future for abandoned animals in Portugal.
