Tita, the white cat – Update

Following our story on Tita, posted April 29th, vets Claudia and Joana had carefully evaluated her clinical situation and found that the only solution would be to amputate her front right leg.  The operation was performed last month and all went extremely well.  Tita’s wonderful nature and calmness helped her through to a speedy recovery and life got back to normal very quickly.

Coincidently, soon after Tita was found, Paulo received a telephone call from a lady wanting to help disabled animals.  Her question to him on what sort of animals in this state we had at Aanifeira immediately bought up the story of Tita and without hesitation this wonderful person decided to adopt her.

The new adoptee rang Paulo each day asking for a progress report on her as well as paying her visits when she could .  It was very soon after Tita’s operation that her new owner came and picked her up to let her make her final recovery in a home environment.

We are extremely grateful to this person and would like to offer our sincerest thanks to her for giving Tita a new home with the special care that she will need for her future.
