Just look at our dear Tuka since she left Aanifeira early last month to begin her new life in Holland. Tuka is blind and during the day she naps on the sheep skin mat of her choice but every evening she is ready for her walk along the Dutch dike close to her home and Mascha, her owner, says she just loves it! Although visually impaired, this doesn’t stop Tuka from trotting off down the road on her own really enjoying everything around her.
What a pleasure it is to see how this beautiful senior dog has developed in wonderful surroundings under the love and care of two people. An animal shows hidden qualities that we aren’t able to capture when they are kept in a shelter and its moments like these that we shall treasure for always.
